This site features employers headquartered in Preston who pay either the real Living Wage, set real Living Hours, pay a real Living Pension, or all three. It has been compiled from publicly available data and aims to support a group of accredited employers who have worked hard to get Preston officially recognised as a Living Wage city – and to make the real Living Wage the norm in our city.
The real Living Wage is the only UK wage rate based on living costs. The hourly rate is calculated according to the basic cost of living in the UK, and employers choose to pay it on a voluntary basis.
The rate of pay is set independently and updated annually by the Resolution Foundation and overseen by the Living Wage Commission.
